Explore Croatian Coast And Eat Like A Local While Doing

I have to admit that one of the best moments I get to enjoy is when I’m away from work and I normally try to make one vacation better than the previous one. I have to say, visiting the Croatian coast did give me the experience of a lifetime.

why it’s time you went to Croatia

Dubrovnik

I found this to be one of the most attractive places and you will definitely marvel at the sight of the place. The imposing sea walls of Dubrovnik are overlooked by the Lovrijenac fortress, the beautiful colored and in addition to this, there is a dramatic cliff top. The cliff top, the self-proclaimed Pearl of the Adriatic’ is one of the most visited destinations on the Croatian coast.

In my time at Dubrovnik, I found the Orsan Yacht Club to serve the best first-rate fresh fish that is backed up by the Dalmatian favorites such as the black risotto (a delicacy made from cuttlefish ink), octopus salad and for those who love meat, the Ocean Yacht club has got the succulent fish steak. Throughout the summer, the Ocean serves breakfast as well and its operation time is from 8 am to midnight all year round.

As for accommodation, I had to choose a hotel or the Croatia real estate rental agencies that offer accommodation. I found the latter to be better. Offered by VBRO (Vacation Rentals by Owner) are a variety of rentals all of which can accommodate your family or you alone.

Makarska

On your way to Split from Dubrovnik is Makarska. this is one of the areas that is preferred for a stop by people on cruises all around Croatia. The beaches are lovely, the harbor is colorful and is positioned beside the craggy peak of the Biokovo mountain. If you love the outdoors and a little bit of silence, then Makarska is the place for you; even so, there is plenty to do. Make use of the beaches, enjoy Croatia’s history in the Pirate Festival near Omis, alternatively, you can take the ferry to Barc island.

On the lower slopes of the Biokovo mountain is the Jeny restaurant. The main delicacies served here are mainly Mediterranean with a French touch on them. It is also worth mentioning that the restaurant does serve some of the best wine.

Beside the Jeny, I also paid a visit to the Konoba Kalalarga restaurant. This one observes the traditional touch. This traditional Dalmatian tavern has got a dim lighting, made of dark wood and in addition to this, there is an alfresco bench on an alley guiding you up from Makarska’s main square. The food here is served just the way your grandmother prepares it. There is also no other alternative to getting the best pašticada- beef stewed in wine and spices that are then served with homemade pasta. I found this restaurant interesting since there is no menu but a daily set of specials all of which will not disappoint you at all.

Conclusion

Summing up, it can be agreed upon that not paying a visit to the Croatian coast will be no different to throwing away a lifetime opportunity of utmost fun and excitement. You deserve the best.
