Mattancherry Palace

Mattancherry Palace is situated on Palace Road and it was constructed by the Portuguese in around 1557. It is believed to be one of the most significant places to visit in Kochi.  This is popularly called Dutch Palace. It has the panache and architecture that bear a resemblance to a typical conventional Kerala house having four individual wings and a courtyard in between.

Like any other Kerala house, Mattancherry palace also encompasses a patio in the center. The patio has a gorgeous temple of Bhagavati who is the protective deity of Kochi community.  There are also two other temples of Krishna and Shiva within the palace. The icing on the cake is the rich collection of designs, frescos and paintings snuggled in this palace.

Veegaland

This place is popularly known as Wonder La Amusement Park. It is the first theme park in the country and it is one of the most eventful and hip places to visit in Kochi. It is situated on the hilltop and is well-known for fun-filled and thrilling rides.

So, whether you are with friends or family; this spot is going to cater you immense pleasure and delight. After the entire park encompasses exhilarating land and splashing water rides. Paradesi Synagogue

Constructed in 1568, Paradesi synagogue is the most ancient one amongst all the commonwealth countries. It is situated in Jew Town and it was constructed by Cochin Jewish group. This spot houses extremely rare and valued antiques such as carved teak ark having four scrolls of Torah silver and gold crowns and chandeliers. The whole place is rich and leaves the jaws dropped.

Cherai Beach

Cherai beach is a tranquil and pristine beach in this city. It is dotted with luxuriously green swaying coconut plantations. There are beautiful golden sandy beaches, hip beach shacks and a huge variety of seashells. It is an ideal place to relish a great isolation or a company of a loved one.
